The Wright Stuff - Ohio Aviation

Tue Jul 03, 2007 8:29 am

With all the tribute aviation threads out there, including ones for Irish aviation, New Zealand aviation, and even for specific airplanes like Peter Max, I thought it was well time to honor where aviation started....OHIO! Not only is Ohio the birthplace of aviation, but is loaded with tons of facts and aviation topics to explore. So I would like to see us load up this thread with tons of interesting topics specific to Ohio. Like:

- Significant aviation history (the invention of the first powered airplane)
- Airline facts (Skybus, ABX, etc.)
- Airport facts like Lunken airport was the original airport for Cincinnati.
- Manufacturing (GE, Hartzell Propellers, etc.)

So lets see if we can show a little Ohio pride and show off its rich heritage in aviation and out do all those other country specific threads.
Tailwinds!!!
