Home Depot Biz Jet(s)

Sun Jul 08, 2007 4:35 am

I am sure Home Depot utilizes small jets for exec transport but haven't found anything. Perhaps they go through EJA?

N223HD, 224HD, 225HD, and 227HD are Falcon 50's or 900's.. 226HD, 228HD, 229HD, and 550HD are all registered to HD but aren't assigned to aircraft yet..

Planes are based out of FTY

I like the name of the company they list as the owner, Homer Lease. Here's some photos of the fleet (Surprisingly, not a single speck of orange to be found):

This is probably intentional. I've heard of many corporate flight departments that leave the company logo and identity off of the aircraft for the sake of privacy. I can give you one good reason: Corporate Espionage.

During the Caterpillar Tractor Company union strike of '93, the company logo and paint job were quicky removed from the aircraft and remains off to this day. I believe they received a threat of some sort. This of course does not apply to the WWE private jet, but then again, that aircraft is one big promotion and has been seen in some televised events.

On the international front another reason to keep a low profile is Kidnap and Ransom (K & R). If someone is flying on a corporate jet, chances are they are important. How important can make the difference between being a target or not. Putting a logo on the plane makes you a bigger target. A lot of K & R Insurance companies require employees to be sanitized of corporate affiliations before they travel abroad. I know this is especially true with the Oil and Gem Executives when they travel abroad. Kind of sad (and scary) to think how common this has become these days...
