SAS Wireless Internet EWR-CPH

Mon Jul 09, 2007 12:43 pm

Does SAS still offer Wifi on it's A340/A330 aircraft? I'm flying EWR-CPH-ATH in August and would like to know about this service. Is there a fee?

Thanks!  Smile

When I used it last year, the service was Connexxion by Boeing. Boeing discontinued the service at the beginning of this year.

Because the service was offered by Connexion and Connexion went out of business...

Same with JL. I remember a friend of mine flew from Japan to the U.S. near the end of last year and the Connexion service was free because it was going to end soon.
Next flights: MEX-LAX AM 738, LAX-PVG DL 77L, SHA-PEK CA 789, PEK-PVG CA A332, PVG-ORD MU 77W, ORD-MEX AM 738

Panasonic claims to have a new system that will work with existing Connexion installations, so hopefully next year we will have in-flight internet back, for I do miss it.

Yes, but via DirectTV's satellite internet service (I believe), so it only works in that service area, which is restricted to North America.
