Frontier 732 In New Colors?

Fri Jul 13, 2007 8:25 am

I was searching Youtube for Frontier Airlines commercials, and I came across this interesting little video. There is a Boeing 737-200 in the background wearing the new colors! Can anyone clarify this?

Here is the video:

Yep, its fake. Its a 732, but with the new livery and animal transposed on the plane. It was for the commercial. There were no 732s in the current livery for Frontier. I must say though, that I liked the old livery. I don't think the name of the airline should be the length of the plane, but that's just my opinion.

You can see when the 732 is first approaching the "camera", that the script on the left side is the old F9 cursive.
I love ASO!

This also has been discussed to death as well. F9 went to Boeing to get 737's originally, Boeing didn't want to take the risk with a new start-up (BIG mistake...) and went to Airbus. Airbus didnt want to sell F9 any planes either, but F9 then convinced Airbus to sell them planes, and then got a sweet deal. That is how they ended up being a full Airbus airline.

I kinda wished Boeing would have given F9 a chance back then. Oh, well. The Airbuses fit F9 real well.

BTW, they also have 18's too. The 20's should be online sometime next year.

It is in the older livery when it is heading towards the camera, but near the end it is turning into the gate and the livery changed. It's brief and hard to notice, but it is there.

When did F9 retire their 732s? I thought they retired them around 2000?
