This surprises me because it was ABZ's only ski route

Apparently since it was launched...less than 100 bookings(!)

Dont people in Aberdeen like skiing? Or is it that cold up there they want to escape to somewere warmer?  Wink

What is the situation regarding BA aircraft and crew bases at EDI? Supposedly BA (outside of London) only base smaller teams at MAN and GLA. On a recent LHR-EDI flight, flight deck and cabin crew seemed to all be EDI based. Therefore does this mean that BA do base staff at EDI even if just in small numbers? This aircraft night-stopped at Edinburgh.

BA do have crew based at EDI yes, whether they are dual-based with GLA though, I'm not sure.

Why would they need to go abroad for skiing? They live right next door to the biggest skiing area in the UK!

Do they? I thought all non London crew bases had been closed?

Prob nightstop....position up from LHR on a flight at about 5pm or so as non-revvers.

This was a BA mainline service and crew were all Scottish so presuming that means BA mainline have base here.

When was the last time we had a decent ski season with a good deal of snow cover? Most of the ski resorts up north are struggling badly with the warmer weather during the winter.
Maybe when we fly we should put a donation towards snow generators for the Scottish ski resorts. After all, the fuel surcharges that BA charge could help so much with that  duck
