CX "Spirit Of Hong Kong" Under The Weather At LAX

Tue Jul 17, 2007 10:59 am

I flew over LAX yesterday (July 15) and the day before and noticed Cathay's "Spirit of Hong Kong" B-HOY was in the AA mantenace area having one of its engines looked at.

Anything major?
What is it? It's A 747-400, but that's not important right now.

Can't say exactly why she's in the hanger at LAX right now, but Oscar Yankee has a reputation amongst the CX staff I know for generally being a hangar queen. I'm always quietly pleased if I have a CX 744 flight to find that it's not B-HOY waiting for me. In fairness though, on the few occasions I've flown on her, she wasn't any trouble!
