Avianca (Colombia´s flagship carrier) and SATENA (the governmen´t regional service airline) have started a new codeshare agreement which will give AV passengers acces to 20 new domestic destinations and some other routes (eg EOH-BGA) and will allow SATENA passengers on AV flights.
also, SATENA´s flights will now be shown on all global reservation systems, making it easier for travelers coming from abroad to take those flights, thus bringing huge advantages to remote regions in Colombia.
Full report in avianca.com (spanish only):
The agreement will start taking place on monday and will be fully implemented in September. I guess AV will not open much more new domestic stations with their own metal, which is a very smart move.
