Eos Airlines Opens New STN Lounge

Mon Jul 23, 2007 2:52 am

'All business class carrier Eos Airlines has unveiled an all new lounge for it's passengers at the ever-popular London Stansted Airport.

The gate-side facility, named Club 48 after the capacity of it's 757, features two 50-inch widescreen TVs, computers, Wi-Fi, a bar and catering services.

Furnishings are finished in leather, granite and frosted glass, while closed-off seating areas offer privacy for customers.'

Sounds sweet, any thoughts on EOS, their product and their future routes?

Certainly an interesting prospect... although I can't imagine BA wanting the services to be from STN... surely LHR would be their first choice for connecting pax.

This EOS, Maxjet and others all businessclass operation is becoming rapidly more populair. I already advice most of my UK and Paris based clients who have to go to New York to take them. Way better product, for about half the price, which is becoming more important everyday, even for a global client like mine.

I enjoy flying EOS when flying to London. Maxjet has a completely different product but EOS assures that i can get a good sleep on the way to London letting me start the day fresh instead of having to go to the hotel and sleep after landing. Love the EOS product and anxiously await more routes!

Just to get me up to date, is the carrier flying CDG-NYC EOS, Maxjet or a different carrier all together? And isn't there talk about a ORD and IAD all businessclass flight either? Or did it happen already? I only know the LON-NYC flights since I use them often.

PropilotJW,

Just being curious, Did you fly them both? Why do you prefer EOS, I can't really tell from the pictures available.
I do know they are often 60% cheaper then BA/VS/AA and no screaming eco class passengers.

L'Avion flies ORY-EWR with an all-business 757, but from what I've heard they haven't been doing so well.

Hum, l'Avion have now more than 75% of load factor and they will get a second 757 at the end of the year...
So they are doing well  Wink

I think Y7 is planning the ORD route..MY already offer JFK/IAD/LAS and I think... I think... LAX was mentioned not longa ago .. along with the 'planned' LAX-SEA-PVG route (I think it was PVG)

I dont doubt that MY will soon pick up ORD... if they are able to ..financially, I dont know how any of them are doing..I heard, so dont quote me, that MY and L'Avion were not doing too good..tho from what I see, if the load factors stated above are indeed correct, then it seems that their product is starting to become recognised and used.

Y7 have been recruiting in DXB lately also, which I believe is a good move.. starting an all business class route to DXB is surely a money maker..

My 3 cents for you to digest...  Wink
