JAL's NRT-YVR-MEX Route

Sat Aug 12, 2000 6:07 am

Can passengers fly JAL to Mexico City and back from Vancouver? or is it only for passengers coming from Japan? I know they use the B747-200 for this route, but what frequency do they use? What other flights into Vancouver does JAL have?

Thanks!

Marco:

Apparently, passengers in Vancuver can indeed fly from YVR to MEX. This flight is not restricted as "no local traffic" as far as I can tell. I checked, and it was $443.00 USD to one way from YVR to MEX on JAL flight 12.

With respect to flight frequency, JAL operates two flights between NRT and YVR on most days, although sometimes its only once daily. I believe the NRT-YVR-MEX flight operates only twice a week, but I am not certain.

Hope that helps.

Yes, the flight is operated by JL's 747's twice a week and they have local traffic right for this route. I beleive they are the only airline to fly YVR to MEX direct/nonstop.

Their round trip fares apare to start from CAD$621.00

Have a good weekend all!!

JAL's YVR-MEX flight leaves on Mondays and Thursdays, with a 747-200 and a -300, respectively. The return flight leaves on the next morning, that is, Tuesdays and Fridays. And yes, local traffic is allowed, JAL being the only carrier with scheduled YVR-MEX-YVR service.
