Any idea from where? Miami or NYC? No other markets would really be able to fill a widebody, all-business jet to South America. Maybe Maxjet will try to take advantage of the new US-Argentina slots, but they are shut-out from Brazil.
What I have heard, and I give it the credit of ten cents is that they are negotiations with a large casino conglomerate in Las Vegas for service to South America-the flights would be flown under contract, with additional seats sold to the general public. This would be along the lines of the AA RDU
service. Additionally if and when Brasil gets off of their rear end and makes a sensible decision to open more frequencies to US airlines they "may" be looking at service from MIA
(all Business Class), and MIA
(all Business Class). This would fit into a few other things that I have heard about expanded Stansted service from the United States including SJC
With the recent filing to serve LAX
it can be deduced that MaxJet is thinking outside of the box to markets that warrant an all business class service such as LAX
, and JFK
. As far as Asian expansion I believe they have already received a green light for service from Spring of next year ex London to a number of points in Asia, Middle East, and Africa. The top markets I have heard of are Dubai, Delhi, Bombay, and Macau. Of course Macau would be the most interesting as the market is booming and their definitely is a lack of service from Europe with the departure of TAP from the Macau market.
