CO39 OSL-EWR Today?

Mon Jul 30, 2007 4:36 am

... according to Flightaware this flight landed @ Stewart (KSWF) instead of KEWR, anyone know why?

I was the "lucky" dispatcher on this flight from Oslo this morning, and I'm kinda curious why it didnt flew direct KEWR..

Maybe due to weather or traffic problems over the NYC Airspace? In the summer, it is not uncommon for CO (or any other airline) to divert because of the slightest problem at an airfield such as EWR.

Lightning storms and rain started around noon today here in NYC, and there's no end in sight yet. CO 111 from CGN was also diverted to SWF.

Thanks, weird they only filled up 73500pounds of fuel today instead of the 76900 (full) knowing the WX would be "bad" in NYC area.. well well.. guess they will arrive home something afterall.

Fltfo shows 39 as 'ON' in EWR, But awaiting an open gate  raincloud
Looks as though most Euro/EWR flights managed to not divert today..  relieved

The whole east coast is one big shit storm.

All four of our ATL to ABQ flights are almost 3-4 hours delayed inbound to ABQ.

Our red-eye (made up by an inbound CVG A/C) which usually leaves at 0055 is not scheduled till about 0300!!

It's gonna be a long, long night.

There was about 10 diversions to SWF in total today, the most I have seen yet this summer.

I arrived into JFK earlier this afternoon from ATL during some awful weather conditions. We circled for a while and were notified by the captain that there was a strong possibility that we would have to divert to PVD but there was an opening and we landed at JFK. We ended up sitting on the taxiway at JFK after landing for a good hour and a half waiting for a gate to free up and then we had to wait another hour for our luggage to come out since ground operators were not operating equipment due to the lighting.
