Rox Shox

I know this may seem to not have anything to do with aviation, but still anwser my question if you can. Are any of you mountain bikers? I want to get a new bike, and I am considering one from Rox Shox (Rocks Shocks). Are these bikes any good? What mountain bike do you think is the best in the $400 to $1000 range?

We really should not speak about the Iraq war but that impacts us all in every day life. The book I was talking about had something to do with airlines as he started one and in his book he explains how! But a mountain what the hell does this have to do with aviation. The reason we come to here is to discuss flying about related topics. If it was traveling with a mountain bike and wonderign if you could carry it on a airplane. Then OK. There are so many dam forums and sites I am sure you can find you infomation some were else. You also have to think that we are marketing this forum on what we post and thingds like mountain bikes do not look good. that is like Virgin Atlatic saying go to the Falkland Island but we don't fly there. I would personally spend that money on flying! I would like no one to reply to this message for the purity of this forum and we do not want it to via away from avaition. I also would like ask every one to keep it on related topics like fleets and color schemes. Or if it something that will effect every one like what is going on in Iraq can slip by every now and again. Fly 15 please do not post any more non aviation messages and I am sure you can find some where to discuss bikes.
Thanks

Sorry, I didn't mean to unpurify the forum. I have 3 reasons for putting this message on this forum:

1. I feel like I know who most of you guys are, and that you have good opinions.

2. A lot of the forums out the have a bounch of loosers and freaks, this forum is not like that.

3. I need a new bike so that I can get to my local airport (I am not old enough to drive), because my parents won't take me enough, so that I can spot and I am thinking about getting a job there.

I agree with you that this forum should stay aviation realated, but I don't think that a person should be verbally attacked if they post something that is not very closely realated to aviation. I also do not think that using certain types of language on this forum does not look good either. (ex: "...what the hell..." and "...dam forums...")

I was not attacking you but recently this forum has got a little of topic and I feel that there are so many places on the web were you can find out what you want to now. I am sorry if I offended any body but think we are slowly rolling down the hill of an anything forum and I would hate to see that happen.

Sorry if I sounded mean. I just meant that out of all the forums/chat rooms I have been to, you guys seem to be the most truthful and real. I had a very important question ($1000 is a lot of money to me), and I thought you guys would be able to anwser.

Sorry Flyf15, I don't know much about mountain bikes, but I can say that I agree with you that this is the best chat forum on the net. I also strongly agree with everything that Iain said. I believe that Johan has done a good job with this forum, but as you all know, this forum has been through alot of changes lately. Some of these changes weren't that good, but some were. I think the only thing that we forum users can do to preserve the good things about this forum is to keep it friendly and focused on aviation related matters.

Thank you,
Bryan
