Yup, was there today.
Good to have one in full Airbus colors!
It will be flying out of FZO until Thursday I think, about 3 flights a day.
I'd rather die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather, not terrified and screaming, like his passengers

My brother goes to something called "piano club" (ie. amateur classical musicians playing music to each other) with someone who works for Airbus there. She told him she was working on the fuel system tests or calibration or something like that when the A380 was there few months ago.

Apologies if it's pointless info. but thought it might be cool because it's from the grapevine (!)

She just flew low over the office. Great sight to see again! It's nice to see some colleagues actually excited about an aircraft...

Brilliant - anyone have any idea what time it's planning to take off and land so I can pop out for a look?

I saw her flying over the city centre of Cardiff yesterday afternoon, these things seem to fly so slow you think they are going to fall out of the air!

Landed over my house today. They have been parking it in the large area by the Royal Mail depot.
I saw the beluga there this morning as well.

Drove past last night and being stuck in traffic was made up for by the special treat of a Beluga with it's "mouth" open Concorde in the distance and an A380 hiding between two buildings - anyone any idea what time it might be flying today - there is very heavy rain here in Bristol so that might mess up plans!

I noticed on someone's log that there were MK Airlines DC-8s and 747, plus an Emirates A330 in Filton yesterday too.

Is it normal to have this kind of traffic into that airport?

There's quite a lot of businesses to do with planes there other than Airbus and RR so it could well be reasonably normal - have a look at http://www.filton.flyer.co.uk which is very informative.

I went down to take a look only to see from Aztec West the A380 on about a 6 or 7 mile base. I tried to beat it through the rush hour traffic but it was no good, managed to see it disappear behind the royal mail building as I got to the royal mail building. It was so low though it would have been incredible to have witnessed it...
