Any Updates On Cape Air?

Sat Aug 04, 2007 3:10 am

Has anyone heard if Cape Air is back flying their Cessna 402s or are they still "grounded" due to engine complications?

They have all been fixed for quite a while and Cape Air is back 100%. Good article in the Boston Globe about their recovery about three weeks ago.

Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!! Good to hear.......There is, unfortunatley, a shortage of just such operations in this country serving smaller communites...I am glad to hear that they were able to resolve the problem.
Many thanks!!!

they were only grounded for a couple of days. I think they were back to 100% with 5 days or so.

I flew them last month from RSW-TPA, and as usual an outstanding flight. Capt. Arthur was as talkative as ever and the 402 purred along the west coast of FL without missing a beat.

Back in the 1980's, there used to many small airlines in the Pacific Northwest...well, SEA area. YVR still has many. But now the main player is Kenmore Air Express with Cessna Caravans. Kenmore Air Express flies out of BFI, not SEA. I'm not including the seaplanes, which is also Kenmore Air. In any case, it would be nice to see some more regionals out here again...but who knows if it's still feasible or not.
