Hey, these morons think that their "flight report" is funny. They found a way to entertain themselves during the long flight. One of them seems to be drunken, later in the video.

Actually I have to add some words: those guys are stupid, and when they dont like LH, why the heck are they flying them?!

Lufthansa's Long haul Eco Product is not the best and I guess this is what they wanted to show us.Long Haul in LH's Eco can become a nightmare when the pax have certain height and weights.I have done BKK-LAX via FRA several times and can not recommend LH on these sectors when flying in Y.TG is much better and does offer a Premium Eco Class on these longhaul's in their 340's. On the other hand I am really pleased with the Biz, and certainly the F, product LH offers today. They are outstanding. I hold Star Gold (UA 1K) and have the chance to upgrade several times.I am 6'5' and 200 lbs and always have a hard time sitting back in Eco.

German sarcasm and ironie is hard to understand sometimes but there is no bad feeling. The way it came across was a bit dumb but the core of the report, was the Eco Product, which in that case got a bad rating.

I have just flown EWR-LHR with VS usually I fly this route with LH and the VS 747 was much more cramped than the LH A340 I have been on before and I am not very tall (5'9'').

Monkeys !
Complaining about taken space in the overhead bin: If this were a crucial thing for the two monkeys, they shouldhave boarded the a/c earlier and having put their own stuff into the overhead bins ... Quite simple.

I tend to disagree. It appears to me that they really meant what they stated in their video ...

I doubt if they will fly LH again, but seeing that thy were flying out of PVG, this apparently was their return leg on a ticket.

I need to agree with them that LH's long haul product is not up to the standard and most of the people here would probaly agree that on a airline which states that "There is no better way to fly" , there need to be an IFE at least on the youngest long haul aircrafts of the fleet. I grant the way how the video is made is a blame for the publishers but they felt probaly really bad treated and did not expect from Lufthansa such a service. Even if his fellow passengers would not make such a video I guess nobody is happy with LH's long haul Y class product compared to EK,CX,etc. etc.

As I said earlier I am really disappointed in VS. I have heard so many good things about them and both flights LHR-EWR and EWR-LHR were really bad. LH does not offer such a good entertainemt system as VS but I find their seats more comfortable and the overall service way better. I really don´t understand all the fuzz about PTVs anyway. Today you have laptops and video IPods so you can see your own movies and TV shows and god forbid you also can read a book.

Sorry, but if you purposely fly from BKK to LAX via FRA, you lose all rights to complain......if you are 6'5/200+ pounds, you know that any coach class seat will be uncomfortable (I am 6'4/220, I understand) thus you dont turn a long trip into an even longer multi-continent odyssey and then get to complain about it. You made the choice to double your time on board for whatever reason, live with it.

Quoting FXMD11 (Reply 6):

I disagree.....the intent of the video was to trash Lufthansa. Look, these guys must have paid about €500 for the return tickets between Munich and China.....they expect luxury. For example, the comment about the water...F/As dont top off glasses while in the air; I am sure that if the pax asked for more water, the F/A would have glady refilled his glass.

Quoting Delta777Jet (Reply 10):

Why the obsession with IFE and PTVS - its really out of hand. LH has mainscreen video in coach, watch it, or do what 90% of the pax do on a longhaul flight, go to sleep. If you really need to be entertained, buy a cheap DVD player (the pax carry on baggage, stowed at his feet, had lots of electronics, you mean that he had nothing which he could watch a movie on?) or, god forbid, read a book......you know, those things made out of paper with lots of words in them?

Realize that if LH has PTVs in coach, these two characters would complain about the programming choice or that one channel was not operating (reference, they complained that the classical music channel was not working on the audio system.)

VS has an excellent J class product with lots of expected features (the great lounges, the seats) and unexpected features (massages, etc) but their coach product is nothing special......if you fly in coach, VS is overrated.

they had a long flight without much entertainment... they needed to amuse themselves somehow!

Its quite obvious that its only a joke - I don't think they really hate LH that much...

Maybe they are a.netters and know about the constant complain of LH having no PTVs in Economy.
If they would have flown with AF they would have complained about the dirty aircraft and if they would flown NW they would have complained of flying in 40 years old Dc 9.
The only thing they seem to have forgotten is that they are on a fuel gazzeling A346 and not an 777-300ER  Wink

What makes you think that I fly these sectors purposely ?I have to fly what I am booked for and do not have a choice on my bookings nor do I have the privilege to fly in C. If the company does not get a deal with TG or SQ I have to fly via EUR.
From 01 Jan until today I have flown 345670 mls - 90 % in booked Eco. Believe me, if I can choose the transpac route I am more than happy to do so. May be you think about other people situations first, before flaming some one who just had a opinion about LH's Eco.

You must admit its bizarre to fly from BKK to LAX (a trip that should take 15 to 18 hours with the nonstop or one stop/connection flights) via FRA which at least doubles your travel time......on a roundtrip basis, thats 30 hours or more of working time lost due to a very indirect routing, I really did not consider that a company would waste 30 or more hours of your valuable working time to save a couple bucks on a Y class ticket. The fact that LH/UA/TG are all Star Alliance members makes the situation even stranger as the airlines work together on some corporate contracts.

I assumed that a BKK-FRA-LAX routing was something that you would do by choice (a.net members have been known to do some rather strange things by choice), clearly I was wrong, and apologize if I offended you. In all seriousness, if I were you, I would have a serious talk with whomever manages your corporate travel, you are not getting a fair deal.

No offense taken. If I had the choice of doing my own arrangements I would do so. I am a Service Mechanic and a System Engineer with a US based Aircraft System Supplier and on 24 hrs call. They tell me where to go and how - no questions asked.Within Asia I am always covered with TG or SQ but the rest of the world is pure lottery. Have a good sunday...

On a side note I would bring up the fact that many airlines have contracted rates and when your company signs a contract you give the airline all of your business because you want to keep the most favorable rates. I cant tell you how many times I have flown JFK-LHR-HKG on British Airways.. I have a few colleagues that travel to Western Australia often. Take a guess as to how they are routed? JFK-DKR-JNB-PER.. Then again you have a recent business trip of mine that took me from JFK-AMS-MNL, and returning CGK-KUL-AMS-JFK.

Regarding the colleagues that flew JFK-PER, it might have been SID instead of DKR..

I got bored of watching that video a quarter of the way through. Trying to make sense of the sub-titles was just too much work. I found the retarded sounding language more interested though.

Adding to my own comment:
These two pax apparently are mis-informed about regulations to bring along liquids.
They state that it would be prohibited to bring along liquids (to drink) onto the a/c.
However, this is incorrect, as they could have bought any liquids past security and have it packed into a sealed & tamper-proof bag. This way they should also have been able to pass through any secondary screening at the gate.
