How is this going to change AA's cramped operations at MIA? I assume AA will remain the primary occupant of A and D, but will the check-in and arrivals areas be changed?
Quoting MAH4546 (Reply 1):
One thing that some people at MIA are pushing hard for is offering very cheap usage rates for Concourse G (which is a dump) in hopes of luring jetBlue, Southwest, or expanded AirTran service.
Quoting Anetter123 (Reply 4):
Perhaps also Spirit can use F at MIA for a "focus city operation" kind of like how AA uses FLL for some Int'l service to alleviate some of the overcrowding happening there in T4 at FLL...LOL.
Quoting MAH4546 (Reply 5):
MIA is submitting an application in Spirit's "low fare relief" program.
|Quoting Hiflyer (Reply 7):
Meanwhile no wants MIA...skybus....spirit...jetblue...allegiant...westjet..(or passenger preference polls)......they are all at FLL making money...while MIA can't even match prices even if they 'give it away'....and now has acres of empty concrete on the passenger side. I would strongly suspect that if FLL had a larger customs or PBI had a real one even more service would be out of MIA.

A is closing because it is being merged into D and needs to have a train built on it's roof.
Quoting Halls120 (Reply 11):
A is closing for renovations? Isn't it one of the newer concourses at MIA? Was he construction that shoddy that it already has to be rebuilt?
