Monarch Launches Summer 08 Schedule From BHX

Wed Aug 08, 2007 6:50 pm

Monarch has launched its summer 2008 flights timetable from Birmingham International.
The new schedule features a host of routes to some of Europe’s most popular sunshine destinations, with both Alicante and Palma (Majorca) being served by eight flights a week.
Daily flights will head off to Faro and Murcia, while Menorca and Tenerife will be served by four flights.
Monarch’s managing director, Liz Savage, said: “Everyone booking before the end of August 2007, will be entered into a prize draw to win a new Ford Fiesta as we celebrate our first ‘Fiesta month’ at Monarch, so there’s never been a better time to book."
Fares on Monarch flights include complimentary daily newspapers and there is no charge for checking in baggage if within the airline's 20kg allowance.

Do Monarch plan on flying to Jerez from another airport apart from MAN?

Would love to fly to Monarch... Too bad they don't fly to Malta.

I expect still 4 A321, although they were looking into another based A321, so that could be a chance for new routes if it goes ahead.

I think some expansion from BHX would be good, and maybe ZB to MLA could be a possible option as the MLA schedule to BHX is being cut this winter

No mention of IBIZA in the article, does that mean they are dropping it.
