G4 In Mesa, AZ

Sat Aug 11, 2007 12:15 am

Anyone thinkl that US might respond to G4 service in Mesa. I think it could be argued either way.

1. US as traditionally been an aggressive airline when dealing with LCCs of course that was a different mgmt team back in Crystal Palace.

or

2. G4 wont be carrying network connecting passengers and will be serving markets like RFD that dont threaten US revenue stream, so no there will be no US reaction.

So what do you think?

Probably this. G4 and US already directly compete in some LAS markets, and there has been no heavy US response

I think the airline that pays the most attention to G4 is AirTran. I don't think there's going to be any kind of response from them to IWA/AZA. They will however pay close attention to how the FLL routes will pan out in the east.
