I am surprised that they are coming to BDL, Does BDL recently upgrade the taxiway and runways to fit A380?

Bring this topic back up... what are some good spotting areas at CVG? I am from PIT and want to come down and check out this huge bird.
Quoting NASCARAirforce (Reply 18):
CVG has an actual designated spotting area on the east side of the field.
I am not from the Cincinnati area, I live in Florida, but originally from Detroit. Everytime I drive from Detroit to Florida on I-75 I stop at it though. I want to say the exit comes after the I-275 circle called Earlanger or something like that. You go about two miles on a two lane road, then you will see signs that say Aircraft viewing area. It is really good for morning arrivals and you are right next to the runway on the east side of the field.

Which runway sees larger aircraft? And is it viewable from this spot?
Quoting Boeing743 (Reply 20):
Is CVG planning a VIP party or what??
Quoting Skibum9 (Reply 8):
CVG will never see an A380 in regular service.

***However departure from SFO could be as late at 1445, depending on the Fleet Week Activities (can we say possible fly by?)*******

I may need to leave Indy abut 5am so I can be there little early in case they make an early arrival or I can get there night before. Do you have any suggest on where is good airport. Also where we should park near runway to see it approach?

I'm looking at coming up to CVG from ATL and wouldn't mind meeting up with some fellow A.net people. Who's going?
