I really like that bird and I thought i would never fly it again with BA. Can anyone say how are the chances that this aircraft would be operating the LHR-EDI sector on that day? And what is the inflight catering expecteing on my VIE-LHR and LHR-EDI seg? Thanx

On early morning flights you can enjoy a hot breakfast with fresh coffee and tea. Complimentary snacks and drinks are served throughout the rest of the day.

On Domestic flights to and from London Heathrow, they offer a complimentary drinks service mid-morning and mid-afternoon.

On all of the European flights you can enjoy breakfast with fresh coffee and tea. Complimentary snacks and drinks are served throughout the rest of the day.

On flights to and from London Heathrow of up to 1½ hours, they offer a complimentary drinks service mid-morning and mid-afternoon.

Regards,

Gerard

Thanks, these are good news... I am happy i am gonna have another ride on the 757-200, my favourite plane on my favourite airline.

As for the catering, it is for sure great. I would like to try their breakfast. You made my day. I will write a trip report on that.

On the return I will use the LCY service as well... What a trip!!!!

I would recommend that you sit in the fornt sections of the 757. The front sections are the nice comfy leather seats that you find in all other domestic/european aircraft whereas the rear section has cloth seats that seem like they are from 1975

Depends on your ticket. BA only book seats in advance on line if you have bought a high yield ticket or you are are Gold card holder. If not, check in up to 24 hours before with their on line check-in system.

Agree the 1st cabin is nice as these seats can be converted into Club seats and are more comfortable. According to BA.com your flight is a 757. Most are A320''s or A319's nowadays.

Also try and book as near to the front on the A321 as the leg room further back is the worst in the fleet. I flew back from Vienna in row 20 and the seat pitch was bad !

Enjoy !

When was your flight? The reason I ask is that BA have removed one row from each aircraft in their 321 fleet. The last aircraft was converted in mid-February this year. (At the same time they have been adding a row to the cabins of their other Airbus aircraft by fitting their cabins with the narrow-back seats that have always been standard on their 321 fleet.)

All 757's have had the new space saver seats installed throughout, there are no more cloth seats on BA 757's.

No, the same convertible seats are still fitted up to about row 17. Then the spacesaver seats all the way to the back.
If you look at the picture you can see the two different sorts of seats. The seats at the front of this cabin (the niddle cabin) can be club or traveller, the ones at the back are always traveller.

I travelled on the 757 back in April LHR-NCL and they were definately Cloth seats. I was sitting in them and they were definately cloth. You can see on the below pic that there are leather seats in front of me but we were in the last 10-15 rows and those cloth seats were so uncomfortable.

As I mention, this was back in April so they may have changed by now

I flew LHR - EDI on a 757 in June and we got a light meal not just drinks, they are really trying to push the full service image in order to compete with the large number of LCC's that compete with them domestically.
