What Is The Cessna "179 Hawkwagon"?

AS the subject says, what is the Cessna 179 Hawkwagon?? The reg is C-GODX but on the Canadian Aircraft Register, it shows as a deregistered Hughes 369HS.




I photographed it taking off at Nelson Yesterday.

I have never heard of such a thing. I am taking a wild guess, but is it a 172 that had the taildragger convertion and the "Hawk XP" enhancments (Which I think was a STOL kit and larger engine, can't remember for sure).

An why would it not come up on the Canadian Aircraft Register?

I would agree it is a 172 taildragger conversion.

I don't see any evidence of the full Hawk SP conversion though.

I tried google and funny how it suggested I actually mean the Cessna 179 chuckwagon instead. Big grin
