Ethiopian Leases Another 757

ET leased it's 6th Boeing 757-200 aircraft. The plane 757-28A c/n 32449 was last operated by Harmony Airways as
C-GMYE. It is being delivered to ET on 29/30 Aug routing YLW-YMX-STN-ADD and will be registered ET-AMK as per skyliner....

It looks like ET is grabbing all of the 767 and 757's it can get it's hands on. Anybody knows what the winter schedule looks like. ETstar can you update us as usual.

B757s are in demand on this side especially as freighters.
Are the ET B752s P&W2000 series or RB211-535.

How many planes have they added in the last twelve months? It seems like they've grown their current fleet by about 10%?

Ah yes I seen it at Kelowna Flight Craft here at YLW already in the ET paint scheme, looks fantastic!

Aren't most airlines trying to get as many 767s as possible?

depends on the terms of the lease , it may be the lessors problem to deal with that rather than ETs

And the press release from Ethiopian

"In its endeavour to match with the increasing number of passengers, Ethiopian Airlines has leased one Rolls Royce powered B757-200ER from GECAS Aircraft Leasing Company. The lease agreement, signed on August 27, 2007 at Ethiopian's Head Quarter is for six years effective August 29, 2007. The lease is on dry (operating) basis. Ethiopian Airlines' cockpit crew will operate the aircraft on ET scheduled routes."

Rumour has it that at least another 1 757-200 with RB211 engines will join the ET fleet before the year is out, go ET!

I know that ADD-DAR-ZNZ will start in the Winter with a daily rotation!! so ET are back to ZNZ!!
