Quick STL Question

Fri Aug 31, 2007 2:52 am

I'm driving a friend to the airport next week who is flying WN, and I'll be leaving on AA shortly after. If I park at the East Terminal and have an AA boarding pass from checking in online, will I be able to clear security there (and walk down to Concourse C), or will I have to take MetroLink down to the Main Terminal? Is it even possible to walk all the way down Concourse D now? I know much of it is abandoned.

Quoting Cubsrule (Thread starter):

You can walk down the concourse but it is seriously a very long walk, and I absolutely hate walking it.

It is much faster to take the metrolink and clear security that way.

I honestly do not know if the E terminal would accept your AA boarding pass, they may just insist you are in the wrong terminal, even though you clearly know what you are doing.

But in terms of time, Park your car at the East Terminal, have him walk to the E then you take the metro over to Main and clear through there.

Just remember when you land back in STL, you will have to take the metro back to East.

I assume you know it is free to ride the metro between terminals so cost would not be an issue there.

It's effectively free to ride the Metro all the way to about Delmar; I don't think I've ever been asked for a ticket on that branch (though I do on the Shrewsbury branch and east of Forest Park all the time).

Thanks for the help.

I have done the AA in the east terminal thing before...They dont make a stink, but they will ask you questions. Catch the metro to save grief.

Speaking of the Metro, I have had my ticket checked after Hanley to Wellston before...Especially since UMSL is back in session.

That's a good point... does UMSL have an agreement with Metro like Wash U does? (We ride free with a student ID and a card from Metro.)

Cubs Fan! We treat opposing fans with courtesy here but we don't like them cheating on Metrolink. Youneed to buy a ticket-cheapskate! It is free between the terminals

We are incredibly off topic. Oh well.

I'm going to the Cards-Reds game tomorrow night. I'll sit quietly.

...and don't worry, I'm not cheating Metro (see Reply 4)
