Aviacsa At CLE

Sat Sep 01, 2007 2:26 am

I just noticed on flightstats that there is an AVIACSA flight to Monterrey, MX from CLE with an ontime departure at 1:52pm. Is this a new service or just a charter or other one-time event? Its nice to see a foreign carrier at CLE.

Certainly not new service, closest they fly is IAH. Surely a charter.

Sherwin Williams has a big operation in Monterrey. It might be a charter for them.

Aviacsa does not have charter operations. Their fleet is very short to do this kind of things. Most probably, or there's a chance, it was one of the 6 new B737-200s joining the fleet!

why not look to modernize the fleet...the 732 are fine...but at this day and age u would think airlines would look for better or newer planes....the average fleet age of 6A more than 25 yrs...and as far I know they only had one major problem this year in LAX with a plane...

Ok, it was a charter flight to CLE done with a Hawker 125 XA-FMK which is owned by the owner but very recently DOT has given 6A authorization for charter business flights to the USA!

984 - you need money! And they don't have subsidies or a big back-up support as MX or AM in so many things and ways some people really don't even imagine due to political pressure or favors... nor they're a single player in this finally very competitive mexican market... like AV has in Co.
