airport hotels

Fri Mar 05, 1999 1:36 am

as a regular traveller, i will only stay at airport hotels!

the best i have found so far is the sheraton gateway attached to terminal three at toronto pearson - high floor - with room overlooking terminal three and i guess what would be a 270 degree operation view of the field.

my question is what other airport hotles give a perfect and commanding view of terminals and the field.

i have heard that there is a hyatt at boston airport which is connected... any thoughts?

by the way... vancouver being one of my favorite airports is nera completion of a new cp hotels five star which is connected to the international/u.s. side of the terminal. the views fill be absolutely fantastic!!!!!!

Marriott at PHL is connected to terminal. From the room window you can see whole airport.

The Hotel at Orlando Int'l is open in the inside to see depature screens and the whole airport area. All the rooms have the ability to see the terminals and the new runway being built.

I have stayed at the one in Tampa, Florida, and the O'Hare Hilton when I missed a connection in Chicago. When I woke up in the Tampa Airport Hotel, I thought I heard the sound of vacuum cleaners being used in the hall. When I was fully awake, I realized it was the sounds of jet airliners taxiing to and from their departure gates just outside.

The Ramada at JFK is just to the side of the approach track to Rwy 13R. A room with a southerly view gives you a great view to spot the incoming aircraft. The 747s come in just a few hundred feet overhead, right in front of you.

The Regal at Chek Lap Kok is a good viewing hotel and so is the hotel at Gatwick.
