I heard this rumour a while ago, but the rumour mentioned 'several' 747-400s coming to MUC
. If Lufthansa can make money with these aircraft then why wouldn't they do it ? They don't even need to dead leg aircraft to FRA
for maintenance. Put them on a scheduled MUC
sector like they did with the A340s at one time. British Airways operates a fleet of one 767 out of MAN
which finds its way back to LHR
for maintenance on a shuttle flight when required.
