SAN Spotters - Atlas Air 747 On Sept 5

Thu Sep 06, 2007 1:36 pm

Beautiful sight today at SAN! The plane arrived around 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 and as of now, has not scheduled a departure yet. It's parked at Jim's Air. Anyone know why it's here?

Sweet shot! Always nice to see a 747 (or anything larger than a 757) at SAN.

Another 747 came in tonight (Sept 6) around 8pm! It was an unmarked 747-300, white with a purple tail. I got some sweet shots that I will be uploading tonight. It was a pleasant surprise and lucky for me, it showed up while I was already out on the ramp taking photos during my break. Good thing I picked up a shift on my day off!

This one is also Atlas Air. Looks like it came in from Gander:
