Well id wouldn't recommend being a commercial pilot. I'd recommend being an Air Traffic Controller.If your thinking about $, either way is great. ATC's also have a steady job. Yes you do work Shift work but you dont have to leave your family and friends behind. ATC's also get "Fams" which are free rides in the US. You ride Jumpseat. You get about 8 of them a year. Most ATC's use them wisely by using them for emergancy's. It is nice riding Jumpseat and seeing all that goes on. School for ATC's is from 2-4 years long. The best ATC school in the world is CCBC (Community College of Beaver County) which is near Pittsburgh, PA. It is one of the only schools the FAA hires directly out of. They are the ONLY one with a real tower that you train in at a REAL airport. the site is,
