AI 777-200LR In LHR

Heads up for spotters close to LHR, VT-ALB B777-20LR has just arrived on the AI111.

I thought AI 111 and 112 are 744's? Have they switched them to 777? I was under the impression the nonstop JFK-BOM was the 777.

They have three 77L's right now, maybe the third which is not the BOM-JFK rotation is being worked into the fleet before DEL-JFK starts

Not sure of the reason but the last two days there has been 777's on the AI111, VT-AIL yesterday and then VT-ALB today. Makes a change from seeing the 747's.

The new 772LR also made an appearance at EWR twice this week instead of the usual 747 or 772ER.
