TAM First A321 PR-MXA Arrived (PICS)

Today, TAM received the first A321 PR-MXA. Will operate JJ3300 to FOR and NAT. Also REC is going to receive its visit.

The A321 is a good choice for TAM to keep its costs per seat down and be competitive with Gol. Smart move.

I had read the A321's would be flying to MIA also for NE Brazil routes? is that correct?

It was said earlier that it would also be used on JJ8075/8074 (MIA/ Manaus,Belem, Fortaleza). This route also has very high freight yields for TAM.

Great news for TAM.
One thing, TAM has to get rid of those crappy seats. It's like cardboard. Those are the worst seats in the world.

Absolutely correct. Some of the older 320,s have decent seat pitch but the newer ones are terrible. I flew CNF/GRU Monday morning in 2D and after that the stewardess ordered the passanger in1D to put her bag where I was supposed to have my feet the trip was the worst I have had in a long time.
It is really sad to see the decline of TAM. You can still find the knowledgable and serviceminded staff but I guess that the fast growth of TAM has created a backlog in proper training of new hires. I was supposed to fly Sunday night from CNF at 7PM to GRU and MIA but the staff could not find out how much I was supposed to pay for bringing a surfboard in their commputer. When they finally had figured it out and I had been running to the gate I was informed that they had closed the door on the plane. I off course raised hell and showed them my red fidelidade card but at no result. I therefore had to rent a car and drive to Lagoa Santa without luggage (on it's way to MIA) and clothes and check in to a little hotel on my own. No assistance from TAM whatsoever, Monday morning I then had to be back at the airport to start my trip back to MIA one day late and with missed business appointments in Florida.
When can we expect if ever TAM to be back to the standard they always kept before. TAM seems to strive right now after the Varig concept before they went out of business.
