Remaining QF 747-300's

Sat Sep 15, 2007 2:29 am

Hi Gang, hope someone can assist here,

How many 743's remain in QF service?

In addition, QF575 from SYD-PERTH shows as a 743 in late October, how likely is that or are subs to 744 likely?

Thanks for any help.

Best Wishes

Mark

QF currently have 4 B743 in service. All have the new interior fitted in 04/05.

Subistutions are always possible and I belive that B744s have run SYD/MEL-PER in the past, but subsitutions for the B743s are not common. Bur with QFs current wide body shortage, ANYTHING is possible.

Hey mate,

QF 747-300 have been signed on until 2010 recently...thus they will be around awhile yet.

Not common to get "subbed" for a 747-400...rather anything spare at the time if the aircraft goes U/S... i hear the aircraft only completed 27% of its flights last month...very interesting huh.

Cheers

Quoting BA319-131 (Thread starter):

Depends what day really, there is the odd week where you will see a 744 on the schecdule, but not very often. Subs can happen from time to time but once again QF usually make you wait for the 743 to be fixed which anyone who flies the 743 should know that you never leave on time, theres usually something wrong.- not QF;s fault.
