I would suggest Malaysia Airlines. I've had some very nice flights on them and the crew is nicer than Singapore Airlines. They have personal screens in economy on the 744 from KUL to LAX. KUL is a very nice airport. The777Man
Boeing 777s flown: UA, TG, KE, BA, CX, NH, JD, JL, CZ, SQ, EK, NG, CO, AF, SV, KU, DL, AA, MH, OZ, CA, MS, SU, LY, RG, PE, AZ, KL, VN, PK, EY, NZ, AM, BR, AC, DT, UU, OS, AI, 9W, KQ, QR, VA, JJ, ET, TK, PR, BG, T5, CI, MU and LX.. Further to fly.. LH 777

Hi Airmale!

I can tell you take Singapore Als. They don not only have the best inflight entertainment system (Krisworld), but they also offer it on any A340, B777 and B747. SQ uses B777s and A340s between KHI and SIN and B744s to LAX. So you will enjoy full time entertainment all the time.
The problem about MAS is that only a part of their B744 fleet is equipped with PTVs.
Even if they try to use the equipped ones to LAX as often as possible, a quick aircraft change can cause the use of a non-equipped aircraft (I enjoyed such a switch on CX from HKG to LHR.......bad experience).
CX still hasn't eqipped all its B744s with PTVs, Thai Aws doesn't have em at all.
Take SQ and you will certainly find PTVs on any aircraft!!!
By the way, their food is great, so is the crew. Have a cockpit visit!

Last time I posted a message to you it was very rude, and I apologize for that. I hope that you can forgive me for that.   Re: Delta's new color scheme.

I know many people that travel from Pakistan to L.A. I don't know from what city your flying from (Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad,Peshawar?) But I usually see them flying on Singapore Airlines because they enjoy that nice free tour at Singapore. Malaysian is a good one too. However, usually Singapore is the most expensive one to fly on.

If you take the other way around, I know someone that usually flies Virgin Atlantic from L.A. to London Heathrow, then Emirates to Dubai and then onward to Lahore or Karachi.

I would want to say to support PIA and fly with them all the way to JFK and then on another airline, but that would probably not make sense when SIA, Malaysian, Cathay, or Emirates can provably give you the best service with a pretty good fair.

Hope that your next flight is an enjoyable one.

Best regards!

By the way, Pakistani food is the best!!!

First, I would like to say that CX is not a bad choice at all.

You may choose to fly on TUE/SAT or THUR, arriving in Hong Kong in the afternoon.

CX700 on TUE/THUR, arrives at 1220, using A330-300. One stop: BKK
CX700 on SAT, arrives at 1235, using A330-300. One stop: BKK

And then pick up your boading pass at the transfer desk for a connecting flight to LAX, CX882, which operates on every TUE, THUR and SAT.
(From Aug 28, every TUE, THUR, FRI, SAT, SUN; and from Sept 4, everyday.)

Flt. #: CX882
Sector: HKG/LAX
Equipment: 74B
STD: 1500
STA: 1315

You may have three hours of spare time in Hong Kong. You may do some shopping, etc.

Happy Landings!
