CX Adds More Frequencies To HKG-SYD

Tue Sep 18, 2007 3:51 pm

Just realised that CX is adding more flights to their SYD route. It has been three times daily for the last couple of years or so, but starting 1 February, 2008, the route will see 4 times daily flights with A330s on four days each week and three times daily for the remainder of the week. A pretty impressive presence IMHO! Apologies if this has been previously posted.

Nice! The CX Sydney operation seems to growing in leaps and bounds. Any idea of the flight number and the estimated time of arrival and departure?

A few years ago, there used to be only 2 flights a day from HKG-SYD, the CX111 / 110 in the morning and the CX 101 / 100 in the afternoon. The CX111 / 110 was serviced by the B744, with the CX 101 / 100 being serviced by the A343. I understand that CX will restart 744 services to SYD very soon.

nope no 744s or 77Ws in SYD or Australia as a matter of fact.

Frequency is preferred over capacity.

It'll all be A330s into Australia.

25 per week to SYD is great, increase to 7 per week to ADL fantastic but, what about PER we get a pathetic 1 flight increase to 4 per week

Yes QF do operate PER-HGK and yes they are both Oneworld partners, but ADL has daily CX flights, please explain??

Yes I reside in PER and never been able to understand why CX has had limited services in to PER

Actually the intention is for the 744 to return to SYD. All the A330s will be reconfigured into a 2 class cabin. For those travellers insisting on the first class product, they have the choice of the 744 still.
