Nice to see TAM improving and expanding to one more destination.

But seems to be a waste this plane grounded for 6h in MVD. This flight will cost a lot for JJ !

Great to see JJ back at MVD Big grin

Those 6hrs must be to take connections at GRU for both europe and U.S.......that might be the reason why, otherwise I can't see why to keep it grounded for 6hrs.

I agree.
Based on the schedule, MIA and JFK are affordable points through GRU on JJ network.
Customers from MVD are having different possibilities to get to some U.S. destinations: CM, AA, AR, LA and soon JJ and TA.

plus connections to CDG, FRA, LHR and MXP. I believe MAD-GRU will be daylight, so MAD will be the only longhaul destination not possible to connect with those flights.

TA fares in MVD through 21OCT until the first days of December are around USD100 to LIM,BOG,CCS (both ways) and USD200 to MIA and Central America...................just incredible!

Yes........JJ will be the only brazilian carrier to travel through GRU to Europe and U.S, just like the old times with Pluna/Varig, GRU was the main gateway for Uruguayans travelling to both Europe and U.S.....If fares are low, JJ will sure take a big profit out of MVD for those headed to the states and europe.

TAM-8046/EQUIP. A320 (12C 144Y) daily/ GRU 09:15 MVD 11:50
TAM-8047/EQUIP. A320 (12C 144Y) daily/ MVD 18:00 GRU 20:30

JJ8060....GRU 19:10......MXP 11:30+1
JJ8061....MXP 13:15......GRU 20:25

Regarding the figures, MVD-GRU-MXP is not immediately possible yet on JJ, unless schedule may vary in short-term.
Does JJ still fly GRU-FRA?

Maybe, these fares are for the beginning.
TA could be unfamiliar for most of Uruguayans. TA needs advertising in order to load its four weekly planes.

Service to Florida seems healthy served by AA on MVD-MIA and MVD-EZE-MIA. Flights to MIA on TA means two stops as compared with one layover with LA, AR, CM and JJ soon.

BOG and CCS are easier on TA through LIM than LA through SCL due LIM is geographically a better point to get them.

Services to Central America and the Caribbean are affordable with TA.
CM knows it very well and then they are increasing up to six weekly frequencies to its sole hub in PTY.
Regards.

I presume once the TAM-United deal is finally hashed out, the UA code will be placed on this flight.

Does JJ still fly GRU-FRA?

JJ is receiving 2 A332 and 2 A345 which will let them start MAD, restart FRA (with A345) and make night flights to and from MXP.

This long time waiting in MVD is because JJ is trying to connect its long haul flights with this MVD flight and other than that, the same plane makes a flight GRU/BEL/GRU later night after arriving from MVD, so aircraft utilization will be just fine for now.

Cheers,

Victor

In fact will be 3 A332. The 3rd should allow MVA, MVB, MVC, MVD and MVE to be upgraded and also the others to go to maintenance without changing the schedule. In 2008 seems that with another A332 to be received, GIG-MIA return as a possible future route.

Will JJ coordinate with UA to connect this flight to MVD with UA flights from IAD and ORD to GRU?

WIll UA Mileage Plus members be able to book flights to MVD directly with UA and earn Mileage Plus credit for their accounts?

I understood Tam Mercosur (PZ) involves operations with Paraguay.
This new schedule looks undoubtedly easier than the complicate MVD-EZE-ASU and then ASU-GRU on PZ-JJ.
JJ may start to face PU on the way MVD-GRU and vice versa.

Related to operations toward Europe, JJ would be improving this service for passengers coming from their non-Brazilian cities served in South America: SCL, EZE, MVD, AGT and ASU.
LIM is even integrated regarding the code-share with TA on LIM-GRU-LIM, but JJ has rather established an agreement of understanding in favour of LA.

Not possible, UA flights arrive later (ORD) or closer to the departure time (IAD).

TA code-share agreement with JJ will be finished by Oct 23 IIRC. They will code-share LP flight.
