News From Czech Republic: Click Sky?

Thu Sep 20, 2007 12:17 am

Hello folks,

I just got some news that CSA created its LCC called "Click Sky". They plan to fly to Belgrade and another 36 destinations, but there is little else they say about that new airline. The only other interesting piece of information is that tickets will be 79 Euros including taxes.

Can any of Czech A.netters give us more information?

You're right, there are to many "clicks" and "skies" among LCCs.

Maybe Clickair and Sky Europe want to merge? Both are not doing that well and are suffering from heavy competion.

Just an idea..

Name is Click4Sky, it is more virtual airline, beacuse they will have no aircraft, but they will market unused capacity on Czech airlines network. It is marketing trick they want to use to revert falling load factor / -4 percent in first 7 months of 2007/. Passengers have to purchase return ticket for 2980 CZK only with return leg possible after 3 days working days and sunday rule on weekend. See www.click4sky.cz
just fly - it is nice

Quoting PRGLY (Reply 4):

Thanks for the info. The news I got is in Serbian so it won't make sense to post the direct link. What really surprised me was mentioning of quite a big number of destinations for newcomer.

KL911, where have you got your info on Sky Europe's health? I always thought they were doing quite well? The main reason I'm asking is that my fiancee is Slovakian & we use Sky Europe quite a bit!

From FlyCheapo:

Click4Sky is a new low-cost airline created by CSA Czech Airlines. Unlike most other low-cost airlines, Click4Sky does not operate any flights - instead it is being used as a marketing brand in order to sell unsold seats on existing CSA flights. In addition, the airline will sell all seats at a fixed price – 1,990 (about £50). Customers travelling with Click4Sky will experience exactly the same on-board service as those travelling with CSA.
They will sell tickets on flights to 36 European destinations from their Prague hub.

Two interesting points:

1) CAI is available. So you can get PRG-CAI-PRG all-in for about £100. Meaning you could fly LON-PRG-CAI-PRG-LON (LON-PRG-LON with EZY for about £50 all-in) for about £150 all-in = very cheap. I used to live in CAI and you'd be very lucky to get LON-CAI return for under £200 - more often £250+.

2) You can’t buy one-way tickets.
