Kssu Check-in Counters? (photo)

Mon Sep 24, 2007 11:18 am

I was looking at this picture from FRA (1970), and I noticed that the check in counter was shared by SR, KL and SK. They were part of the KSSU Group, Austrian was not part of the group, but they were close to SR until they separated decades laters from the Qualiflyer Group. So, this "cooperation" was something common in other airports? I thought the group was just a cooperative mainteinance agreement.

It was a bit more than just maintenance I thought - didn't they do a joint purchase of DC-10's ?

And btw, the picture is very 70's - FRA is so yellow !

Yes, they had a common fleet of DC-9's, MD-80's, 747-300 (SR,KL, UTA) and DC-10.
