World Route Development Forum YVR 2010

Sun Oct 07, 2007 5:57 am

The 16th World Route Development Forum ("Routes") has announced it will be held in Vancouver in September 2010.

The Vancouver Airport Authority and Tourism Vancouver joint proposal has been selected beating out other other cities for the event.

Estimates of over 2,000 decision-makers in world-wide route development will be attending.

Good coup for YVR. Hope it translates to more routes out of YVR.

This will occur in the same year as the 2010 Winter Olympics - so a good year for exposure for Vancouver!

Below is the YVR website press release.

Hopefully, before this forum, YVR will already see Air India, China Southern, Emirates, Air France and others...

Hopefully it will. As ARN stood as the host for this years "routes" I'm sure it contributed to the start of DL's ATL-ARN route.  Big grin

Did anything else transpire for ARN. I know that hosting the event doesn't necessarily mean more routes for the host city but it is a GREAT way to showcase a city and have a bit of a home court advantage!
