Piedmont Fleet C.1986?

Sun Oct 07, 2007 10:49 pm

During the height of Piedmont Airlines' post-deregulation expansion and prior to being acquired by USAir  Sad how many of the various aircraft types and variants of each (737-200 and 737-300 as an example) comprised Piedmont's fleet? Thanks for any information you can provide.

In July 1987, the Piedmont fleet (beside that historic DC-3) consisted of 2 Boeing 767, 62 Boeing 737-200, 28 Boeing 737-300, 34 Boeing 727-200, and 45 Fokker F28 (series -1000 and -4000).

EWRCabincrew,

Thank you for the information and the link. Smile Indeed I hadn't thought of Google in seeking the answer to my question. Have previously found lots of interesting airline, airliner and airport history by way of Google, some of which has been added to my Favorites list.
