Website With Historical Airline Ticket Prices?

Mon Oct 08, 2007 2:24 am

Hi All,

I am in desperate need of a website that contains historical data on airline ticket prices (could be for a 6 month period or one year or more) to get data for an upcoming maths project for school. It really doesn't matter from what country/destination they are, I just need real data to analyze for my project.

Thanks in advance!
Tomas.

Anecdotally, in 1963-1964 Eastern Airlines' Shuttle from Washington to New York one way was $15. This is a little over 200 miles. On United, Braniff, American, or Eastern on regular flights it was $17.22, including tax. On the regular flights you generally were served a snack.

Hope this helps.

Adjusted to 2006 inflation levels, that ticket would be $110.89 one-way. About the price of a mid-level LCC fare.

Hey Guys,

Thanks very much for that information but I actually meant like a website where you can get several differences in prices for tickets and different destinations. I just need more data to be able to make some charts with this data.

Thanks again!
Tomas.
