What Delta Connection Routes Are Offering FC Meals

Fri Oct 12, 2007 4:00 pm

Is anyone aware of what routes Delta Connection is offering meals in First Class on? Are they the same meals as on Delta, or something else?
I just Googled your Yahoo :)

Meals on DL connection... that is good for a laugh. I cannot even get a meal on ATL-DEN, a 3 hour flight almost.

I think it is disgraceful that DL doesnt even serve meals in F class unless the flight is over 1500 miles...AA serves meals on flights over 2 hours.

Are the CRJs and ERJs that are outfitted with first class have the galley space necessary for serving meals? I cant imagine they do, but maybe I am wrong!

Im a Gold Medallion FF on Delta and I'll tell you that I am routinely on flights to and from Alaska from SLC and LAX to ANC or FAI in the summer and there are not always meals on those flights so, I dont expect they are going to be putting meals on the connection flights. Has anyone actually had a mean on a DL connection flight?

The best example of when there should be a meal as far as departure time and flight lengh goes is on the DL553 from IAH to SLC (one of my normal flights), 3:23 scheduled flight time, no meal. Just crackers and drinks, it seems CRAZY to have no food in first on a 7:50a departure for a 3+ hour flight. I have never had any food on a DL conx flight and I did recently do first class on a CRJ900 from Calgary to Salt Lake (but it looks like the -900 is off that run for now), the seats were nice but the same snack service as coach.

SLC-YYZ on Skywest, and I think CVG-BOS on Comair might as well.

I know Shuttle America offers meals on LGA-MDW, LGA-ATL, JFK-ATL, JFK-DFW, and ATL-KIN.... just wondering what other routes may have them, and what other carriers. According the the Shuttle America F/A I spoke to while in ATL last week they are now using glass in First Class too. Is this coming to the other Delta Connection carriers too?

Ya, I got two flights in F coming up with DL that are 2.5hr in length and no meals either way even though both occur during the lunch hour. For the money I am paying I think next time I may look at either AA or CO.

I was shocked to get a hot meal in FC on my flight from ATL-JFK in BizElite on 777....maybe because the flight was going on to BOM??

Ya, someone inside DL would have to answer that one. ATL-DFW is about the same distance and your lucky to get anything more than peanuts and a drink in F class.....pitiful really.

JFK-ATL, LGA-ATL, BOS-ATL and BOS-CVG all receive a "snack" (breakfast is a Continental spread with cereal, yoghurt, fruit and a croissant; lunch/dinner is a wrap, pizza or something else light) for competitive reasons. These are the only 4 routes to my knowledge outside the 1550 mile threshold that receive meals.

Shuttle America :

JFK-ATL
JFK-DFW
LGA-MDW
ATL-KIN

(BOS-CVG is NOT a meal service)

These are all that I'm aware of...correct me if I'm wrong!

On the mainline flights BOS-CVG is a meal service in F. Didn't know if it transferred over to the CRJ-900 flights, but on the 737s that fly the route, F does get food.

Perhaps someone is watching?
