Shouldn't The First Pinnacle CRJ900 Be Painted Yet

Wed Oct 17, 2007 10:47 pm

Shouldn't the first Pinnacle CRJ900 be painted yet. If the first one is suppose to come in November. Any Air (netters) out there to catch the first pictures?

For whom will it be flying?
I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance any day.

Pinnacle is basing the planes in ATL. Haven't heard of any routes yet, but they'll be touching ATL.

OK who is going to get the first pictures out there? Can anyone tell me what time the plane coming to Memphis? And where it's coming from?

Well there are going to be a bunch of pilots "celebrating" from 2-5 tommorow outside the MX hangar. I believe it will be there sometime 'round then.

Now if they will pay the pilots appropriately to fly the plane and quit being little kids and stalling negotiations, they will be happy to fly it.

Looks like another oversized RJ to me... I'm surprised those cheap bastards in management actually got two MCDU's in the cockpit- probably couldn't opt out of it, haha.

Actually, they are owned by Pinnacle... unlike the 200s which are owned by Northwest.

I'm not sure the reasoning for the connection being on some of the planes and not on others (Freedom also doesn't have "connection" on their 900s). It's my understanding from the contract that connection has to be displayed on the side of the airplane that is operated by a subsidiary. Who knows...

For the 900 program to be worth the investment, 9E needs to operate 30.

Galley...

Regarding the galley pic: Why did they choose to make the galley so small? Couldn't they have pushed those standard carriers (ATLAS boxes) further back to have more counter space? I saw a pic of a CRJ700 where equipment was pushed as far back as possible, allowing extra counter space for the FAs...

Why make the aircraft more cramped?  Smile

Interesting pics. I have to say I like the gray look of XJ's CR9s as opposed to the blue of 9E, but the blue makes sense, these birds flying for Delta and all.

I was wondering this if this was the case. 146PQ is registered to Pinnacle themselves as opposed to the CRJ200s, which are subleased to 9E by NW.

Because its a CRJ. I have more room to do paperwork on my galley cart then I do in the galley  Silly
