Amazing NW Pilot Interview

Thu Oct 18, 2007 9:40 pm

On last night's World of Aviation with Al Malmberg on WCCO, he had Capt. John Hansen, the soon-to-be-retired senior captain at Northwest, as a guest.

Most of the interview is Capt. Hansen telling the story of when one of his flights (DTW-NRT on a 744) had a hard-over rudder at cruise altitude, and how his crew got the 744 onto the ground in ANC. Great listen, although a bit long (appx. 1h20min).

I listened to that, too. Anyone know of anything that's been written about the incident, other than the official NTSB report?
