FL To Start BUF-RSW

Thu Oct 25, 2007 2:46 am

According to FL's route map, they will be adding service to RSW.

Flights are bookable starting February 14th.

It looks like daily service with twice daily service being offered on Saturdays.

Flt. 887
Departs Buffalo: 8:00AM
Arrives Ft. Myers: 10:45AM

Flt. 888
Departs Ft. Myers: 6:59PM
Arrives Buffalo: 9:39PM

Additional Flight on Saturday
Flt. 302
Departs Buffalo: 10:50AM
Arrives Ft. Myers: 1:50PM

Flt. 304
Departs Ft. Myers: 2:10PM
Arrives Buffalo: 5:00PM

Is it just me or does that seem like a lot of time that the plane will be sitting on the ground in Ft. Myers (about 8 hours)?

Who announced service first - FL or B6?

I'm sure the plane isn't sitting on the ground the whole time. The flight lands in RSW and goes to some other destination. The flight TO BUF certainly does not come FROM BUF.

I think B6. I got an e-mail from them earlier in the day and didn't see anything from FL till mid-afternoon

I don't see any press release for FL yet. Not even on their website.

Has FL flown RSW-BUF before? Because if this is a seasonal route, FL takes seasonal routes on/off their route map with out making any announcements really. So this could be just a resume of service.
Will you watch the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions on Sunday? Only if coach Eric Mangini resigned after a loss.

It probably is seasonal, but this is the first year they are offering it.

I feel stupid. Usually planes coming into RSW turn around and go right back to the destination they came from. I guess I wasn't even thinking about that.
