MFE-LAX Dissapearing?

Tue Oct 30, 2007 7:07 am

I tried doing a search on Delta.com to see if MFE-LAX was available in january after i read about LAX-SAN ending... and I can't seem to find anything. Last flight I see is on December 29th.

Is this another expressjet market that just didn't work out? Or is it just not in the system yet?

Pulled from reservation systems, but is anybody actually surprised? I'd expect OKC and ICT to be cut soon, as well.

OKC-LAX and ICT-LAX have other service. DL may cut 'em but may keep them flying for competitive reasons. MFE-LAX was only flown by them... easy to axe it. WTF were they thinking anyway??? MFE isn't El Paso and is much more East oriented.

Word from the valley was a company in MFE had a deal with DL to operate this flight for a designated time.
They basically subsidised this route.

I'd believe that... I'm from Brownsville, and I can see a few businesses in the Reynosa/McAllen area willing to try and get in touch with DL over this...

...Though I thought this was one of XJet's "at risk" cities?

(Maybe it'll move to BRO...  Smile one can dream)
