Is that operation to be on a daily basis?
I want the European Union flag on airliners.net!

Are these proper Air Berlin scheduled flights or are these LTU charters?

Quoting BrightCedars (Reply 2):

In the German article it says 5 times a week.

Given the fact that they fly out of DUS and that Airbus planes are used, I assume that they use (former) LTU equipment.

GR8 news and an expected move if they take their Long Haul expansion seriously, however I must ask, why don't AB make DUS their main transit hub and not NUE... what I mean is that currently to fly directly to DUS my only option is to hang on tight in one of LH's CRJs, while AB offers the DUS flight via NUE... I would guess there is more business potential to DUS than NUE. With the expansion of Long-haul services from DUS will we see a shift to DUS as their primary transit hub?

Great news for DUS airport! They surely see a huge increase in traffic lately!
Hopefully LH will react soon.
