What Happened To NW/YX Codesharing?

Tue Nov 06, 2007 12:27 am

Codesharing was supposed to take effect on the 3rd for flights starting on November 17th. Does anyone know what happened to the NW/YX agreement? Is this all on hold because of the YX sale? I checked the NW timetable and don't see anything and I've checked the NW and YX websites for ticket availability and nothing.

What hasn't been approved yet? The sale or the codeshare?

The codeshare flights are already available for sale in Worldspan. I saw a YX flight from LAX to HNL.

If you go to Midwest's site you can book a flight from MKE to HNL now. The codeshare is available with NWA. I just priced a trip from MKE to HNL roundtrip dated the end of November. $1031.64 round trip.

I'm surprised that the YX site is only listing Hawaii as codeshare flights. I wonder when they'll list some european cities.
Good Luck to all Skyway Pilots! It's been great working with you!

Because the roll out of the codeshare is incremental, starting with Hawaii.

In the communication we received yesterday, it stated that the first codeshare cities starting on the 17th will be HNL, OGG, and KOA ... from either LAX, SFO, or SEA.

It also stated that future cities will be announced, both domestic and international.

Those three cities are also on the YX Timetable: http://www.metimetable.com/Midwest.pdf
I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance any day.
