UA 129 Diversion To DEN Right Now...Any Ideas Why?

Wed Nov 07, 2007 4:33 am

UA 129 is diverting to DEN right now. It's scheduled from ORD to LAX. The ATC is asking for fuel on board and other questions.

Any idea what's happening or why the diversion?

Thanks.

If ATC is asking for FOB and other info, that would tend to rule out a medical diversion, and suggest something mechanically-related...to me anyways...

Nah, I was tuned into Anet...  Wink

UA129 DEN-LAX was in the air a little over an hour after landing at DEN, so they could have used another 757 that had already terminated at DEN, leaving the presumably busted one there for overnight repair. All assuming it was a mechanical issue...

Definately sounds like a mechanical of some sort. If the spare is there, might as well use it.
