Yes, and with that NASCAR race in PHX yesterday...well, let's just say it hasn't helped your chances much.

That would be outgoing passengers.

It is a holiday weekend, families coming back from Disneyland etc..there always Greyhound.

WN has quite a lot of open seats on the five remaining PHX-LAX flights for tonight... Dunno who you work for but if you have any sort of agreement with us you'd definitely get there tonight. If all else fails, you could pay for a seat on WN for $121 (or business select for $136  Smile).

He's flying PHX-LAX not LAX-PHX.

To be honest I'd say you're screwed. Outgoing NASCAR fans from the race, a holiday weekend, oversold flights.....Take Pacallen's advise... spend the money and buy a seat on Southwest

Isn't one of the top ten rules of non-reving that if you absolutely, positively have to be somewhere, then buy a ticket??Space available, is space available; no guarantees.

From what I'm hearing from the other guys in this thread, your timing is bad to leave PHX. I was there on Wednesday night flying overnight to BOS, and, to my knowledge, there was nothing special going on, and it was still pretty packed (not in SW concourse, but in US).

checkmark  That's a big reason I'm still dispatching, so I can use the jumpseat to get around - and even then there's still no guarantees. It's a game of risk sometimes.

There always is Southwest even for Non-Rev, the frequencies are higher and the planes are not that full compared to everyone else.

So then why even start this thread? If you know anything about non-reving, you'd know not to waste your time here and go be pro-active and get home. Not to mention at first you said you MUST get home tonight and now you say you don't need to? which is it? Are you just trying to brag about the fact you can non-rev? I honestly see no-point in a thread like this as no one on here is going to have some magical answer than you can't find yourself.

I like to brag about nonreving but then I end up telling how I had to go ATL-MEM-DTW-MSP to get home. It took me 1 hour less than driving to get home. It usually puts a damper on the bragging.  Smile

PHX-LAX has a high no-show factor. Not surprising.

I second Greyhound if you really must get there. If you didn't know, the station for greyhound is almost at the airport on the west side, so if you can't get on the flight you still have a backup. Here is a map so you can see how close it is: http://tinyurl.com/2k874g

Word of caution, there is no parking at the depot. Take one of the Red Lines Westbound (run every 15 min) for $1.25 and it'll take you right there.

You could always drive, but if it's going to be all night, and flying isn't an option, I'd just take the bus. Good luck.
