757-200 Freighters

Sat Aug 26, 2000 12:36 am

Does anyone know how many pallet positions there are on a 757-200F?

Does anyone think this will be the replacement for the 727-200F? If not what do you think will be. 737???

Thanks

The 757-200 freighter has 15 pallet positions on the main deck. The 727-200F has 11 positions. The 727-100F has 8 positions. I don't think anyone has ordered any 737NG freighters yet, but I don't know that for sure.

Someone has ordered the 737-700QC but Boeing has not said who it is yet.

Wasn't the group that ordered the 737-700QC the US Navy?

The 727 200's we have all have 11 88" x 125" pallet positions on the main deck.

Fed Ex use to operate 737 combis many moons ago.

The 757 did take the place of the 727-200 in UPS's case. We have 75-75's and 8 727-2's.

Since the 757 conversion program is in swing look for alot more 757 freighters to appear.

I am not sure....but I think if the plane has a 9G wall installed you can get 12 positions. But if you have a net then there can only be 11.

I have seen 727-100's in both a 7 pallet and an 8 pallet configuration. I am not sure But I belive that Northern Air Cargo removed the aft lavs out of their -100's and gained an additional pallet space, but they don't use containers, just a flat spot for wooden shrink wrapped pallets.

The 7 pallet 727 was Reeve's combi. In that case they moved to forward galled all the way to the back. this made space for igloos forward but they had to give up a position in the back for the freighter.

Alaska Airlines 737-200QC's are run in up to six pallet configuration.
OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.
