Korean Air's Budget Carrier to Start Service in 2008

Wonder how this will fare with the competition? I have flown KE long-haul from LAX-ICN 2x/LHR-ICN once and the service was very good!

What you think there LCC will offer and what does a future order hold?

Does this mean that non-NRT Japan will start seeing this LCC in the way we lost Qantas in favor of JetStar?

If KE can do this, why doesn't NH and JL do this?
Yes...I am not a KIX fan. Let's Japanese Aviation!

NH did expressed their intention to start a LowCost subsidiary, depending on the market environment. If JAL code-shares on the flights of the KE LCC (Air Korea), then I'd expect OZ/NH to lunch their own to compete.

Excellent news. The sooner this happens, the better. Korean Air's standard fares out of Korea are on the exorbitant side, and fares are on the high side, in general. The demand for travel here is huge. The planes will be packed. Now the big question is... will I actually get to fly Air Korea while I'm still here?

Korean Air.....Air Korea.....the creative brains must have been in full force for that one! Granted it is a "working" name, lets hope it changes to something a little more inspiring.
